Your personal journey
I am Lita, and I invite you to embark on a unique journey in the Algarve through a mindful adventure with Walking Yoga, Traditional Hatha and Restorative Yoga practices, Cooking courses, and delicious, nourishing Ayurvedic food. You will be staying at Lalitana Townhouse in the centre of Lagos, where we can accommodate nine people in our charming rooms, which Lita decorated and takes care of with Love. All Yoga sessions will take place in nature, on beautiful beaches in the surroundings.
The Algarve is the southern part of Portugal and is well known for its stunning coastline, warm climate, golden-sand beaches, and dramatic cliffs. The selection of impressive beaches is enormous, from miles of sandy beaches to small, cosy, rocky bays, which we will discover with excursions. Lagos is one of the most beautiful cities in the Algarve and has a unique charm, with its old town, narrow streets, and tiled floors and buildings. Lagos is a blessed sunny city; we can look forward to 300 sunny days a year!
AyurYoga Retreats
We will distance ourselves from everyday happenings to focus on our internal existence, harmonise with nature, the universe, and bring body, mind, and soul into balance. We see ourselves as part of the nature we aim to connect with, which is why our Yoga classes take place in beautiful surroundings in the Algarve.
The combination of Ayurveda-conscious meals, the Ayurveda lifestyle, and our yoga program helps you regenerate, vitalise, rejuvenate, and connect with yourself. We want you to leave feeling inspired and motivated, ready to take on the world with renewed energy and purpose!
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a traditional Indian healing art that literally means “knowledge of life,” focusing on balancing body, mind, and spirit in harmony with nature! The three fundamental bio-energetic forces (Doshas), Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, rule all physical and mental processes in the body. An imbalance of the Doshas can lead to sickness and disease.
Ayurveda considers the person as a whole and aims to activate the body’s self-healing powers. The goal is to promote good health and well-being rather than just fighting disease. Central components of the treatment include a type-specific diet, herbal medicine, cleansing techniques, therapeutic massage, yoga, and meditation.
Yoga and Meditation
We practice Traditional Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and walking yoga, seeking a balance between relaxation, stretching, and dynamics. Additionally, we practice Pranayama (breathing exercises) and active Pranayama.
We want to help you regenerate your body and calm your mind with deep relaxation practices and meditation! The combination of Ayurveda-conscious meals, lifestyle, and our yoga program aims to help you reset your Life and continue this lifestyle!
Our Yoga classes take place in nature and on beautiful beaches;
we go to a different location every day.
Walking Yoga
The walking Yoga class lasts around two hours. We first connect with nature, then begin with active Pranayama (breathing exercises) to open the chest and lungs, and then proceed with a sequence of mindfulness Asanas to awaken the body.
After that, we walk in silence through nature, staying in the present, and continue with other asanas, either walking or standing. In the end, we stretch, cool down, and chant OM in Beautiful surroundings!
Cooking Courses
In our cooking courses, we will teach you the importance of spices and the six fundamental tastes (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent), and how they influence the Doshas and contribute to overall well-being.
Each spice is used based on its properties and how it affects the three Doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha. We also demonstrate the importance of establishing eating routines, including being aware of the five senses and enjoying a mindful meal, either alone or with your family.
